With the end of Semester One, we are very sad to wave off a few of our excellent staff members.
Deputy Principal Sam Seton is taking an acting role within the
Department for 12 months and is very sadly taking her coffee machine with her, our gorgeous Narisha Deonarain leaves our Math Department to join Stephen Hood teaching at UC Secondary School Lake Ginninderra College, our very popular Ms Cooper leaves our Science
Department to move to boring old Melbourne with her partner, and Chris Northey also from Science, has retired after a great many years of teaching in the Canberra area. We thank these staff members for their
contribution and commitment to the University of Canberra High School
community and for the use of their private coffee machine, and we wish them well in all their future endeavours.
In the interim, we welcome the following excellent people
to our staff:
Steve Watson joins us as a highly experienced
Deputy Principal, Greg Drury joins us teaching Maths for 5 weeks, Sarah Belling
returns to us having finished her degree to help us in Science and Maths, Tim
Kane also returns to continue to keep Agriculture running, and
Katharine Broadhurst has won a permanent position in our English/SoSE
Department.
Permanent positions in Maths and Science have
been advertised and will be filled within the next few weeks, and Sam and Steve
have spent this week working together in a handover week.
Please join us in
welcoming our new staff to the UCHSK Community and wishing those departing the
very best.
