Rate Canberra Survey for Young People

UCHSK Youth Worker, Kwabs, has tipped me off to a survey run by the Youth Coalition of the ACT which is currently running 'Rate Canberra', the biggest survey of young people in the ACT.

To encourage participation, the Youth Coalition will be awarding $1000 to the school or college which has had the highest number of young people complete the survey.

The survey is available online at

Further information about the survey:

Rate Canberra is a survey of young people aged 12 - 25 years, which aims to collect information on what it is really like to live in Canberra as a young person in 2016, and the issues that are important to young people. The information gathered will enable us to better advocate and represent on young people's behalf, and develop a more detailed picture of the unique needs and issues of young people in the ACT.

Privacy & Confidentiality

The survey is anonymous, and no information is collected that can link responses to an individual.

After a young person completes the survey, they are redirected to a page on the Youth Coalition website where they can choose to leave their contact details if they would like more information.

On this page, they can also say where they completed the survey - and this information will be used to determine which school will receive the $1000 prize.

The Youth Coalition is the peak youth affairs body in the Australian Capital Territory and is responsible for representing the interests of people aged between 12 and 25 years of age, and those who work with them. You can find out more about them here.
