One of our Year 7 students, Rhys, also goes by a different name. Black Summer is Rhys's stage name when he is spinning decks. The spotlight hit Rhys when he uploaded some of his work on Triple J's Unearthed in February last year, and he hit headlines with his debut gig at music festival: Groovin' the Moo in May 2015.
Rhys is a year older and bolder now, he's played a bunch of venues and will be working on a TV shoot for a commercial this Saturday at the Academy, in Bunda St, Civic from approx 1pm to 4pm. This a great opportunity for Rhys that he'd like to share with his UCHSK community, so if students would like to watch the commercial being made, Rhys and his family would love the support as he continues on his Black Summer journey!
