Sadly, one of the ducklings didn't survive hatching, and the smaller of the two shown above hatched with a hernia and was also not expected to live through the night. When Morag came in the next morning, she found s/he was still going and after a brief return to the incubator to keep warm, the duckling is now doing well.
Long term Ag-Club member Sherry, in Year 9, has wisely named him/her 'Trooper'.
