Lifeline Library Growth Project

Our Lifeline Mini Excursion was a roaring success!  Not only did the students manage to fill 6 large canvas bags worth of excellent books for the school library, they were also able to find bargains to buy with their own money plus they seemed to really enjoy themselves and that's always nice!
Staff also enjoyed themselves thoroughly, with some having to be dragged away from having 'one last look'.
We ended our excursion afternoon sitting in the sun talking, swapping and reading books - a very pleasant way to spend time.  As always, Lifeline Bookfair volunteer staff were friendly and helpful, and the books were in excellent as new condition.  The Bookfair continues over the weekend - all funds raised go to support the brilliant services that Lifeline offer to our community members in crisis.
Of course it wasn't all sunshine and books, students worked hard sifted through an enormous selection to find the ones that tickled their fancy (fiction, non-fiction, graphic novels, comic books, short stories, classics, craft and all genres) donating $402 to Lifeline in the process.  The only downside to our venture is all the extra work poor Library Lady Kathy will have next week, sorting our new finds.  I'll help you, Kathy - promise!
