Free Workshop on Learning Difficulties

A free workshop has been developed for parents and carers of children with learning difficulties to help provide a greater awareness and understanding of the impact learning difficulties can have on children of all ages.
At this workshop the recently released Understanding Learning Difficulties: A Practical Guide for Parents* will be reviewed and information will be provided on using the guide effectively.  The workshop will also examine issues such as self-esteem and dyslexia-friendly schooling, to ensure parents and carers are better equipped to support students both at home and through effective communication with schools.

The workshop is free and currently open to all parents of children enrolled in the ACT Public Education system.  There are limited spaces with a maximum of 60.

When: Thursday 25th June, 5.30 - 7.30pm
