As part of their VET course Year 9 & 10 are completing a School Community Service project, repainting the benches at the rear of the school. They are scraping them down, sanding them and repainting them. They will also be replacing damaged timbers.
They have been very careful not to spill any paint (Mr Major is the only one who has spilt paint - apparently as a teaching strategy) and have done a quality job. The Construction Crew have completed the two coats on all of the benches out behind the canteen and have moved onto the benches behind the maths staff room. Future projects include design and landscape of garden beds and further beautification of the school through construction.
